Blast Corps

Instant Explosion Cheat
Park your vehicle right next to a building.
Try to exit the vehicle by pressing Z. The
man should scream, "DOH!" The building should
blow up after several times of pressing Z.
Not all buildings can be destroyed this way.

NOTE: This cheat is best performed with the
dump truck, or in heavily obstructed areas
that make it difficult for the driver to get
out of the vehicle.

Turbo Start On timed events, press the acceleration button
on the last "beep." (As the light turns green.)

Ghost Racers
Go to a level which is a race course. After
you finish all the laps the game tells you
to do, attempt the race again with a
different vehicle. When the race starts,
you'll be racing your ghost from the previous
race (like in Mario Kart 64).

-=++ [ OBJECT OF THE GAME ] ++=-

Just by looking at Blast Corps, you might not know what you're supposed to
do in the game. There is a nuclear missile, and it is being carried on a
huge truck (a red one, that looks like a fire engine), and if it even
hits a bump, it'll blow up. When it blows up, your mission is over, and you
have failed. Well, not really, because you can just go back and try again.
Anyways, you must clear all the buildings and fill all the gaps so that
the truck can go through nice and smoothly. There are buildings that you
have to destroy, and other bulidings that can be left standing, and the
truck won't hit them. However, you must clear all the buildings in the level
to achieve gold on the level, and by getting gold, you can get to more areas.

-=++[ BASIC STRATEGY ] ++=-

In Blast Corps, you can't just go through a level for the first time and come
out 100% complete with a gold medal. First, just go and destroy all the
buildings that need to be destroyed (there will be arrows pointing to them),
then in the time you have left, get any RDUS, or look for communication
points. You most likely won't be able to get everything in that level the
first time you play it, so go back into the level and get what you need to
get. If you plan on playing the game all the way through, I suggest that you
get everything there is to get. Getting gold on all levels is required if you
want to go further into the game.

-=++[ CHEATS ] ++=-

Well, I wouldn't say there are really any cheats yet. People consider certain
things to be cheats, but they really aren't. I consider a cheat to be
something that you have to enter in during the demo or something like that.
Here is a "cheat" I got from videogamespot.
With the Backlash, hold the Z button down while you're next to a building.
The man will yell, and the buildings will all of the sudden blow up, even
though you aren't really crushing them.

Yeah, well, they called that a code. I don't think it is, and it's actually a
pretty worthless if it even is one. Trust me, you can destroy buildings faster
the normal way, not to mention, you'll probably mess up and end up stepping
out of the backlash.

-=++[ ITEMS ] ++=-

RDU - Radiation Dispersal Unit. Just walk/drive/fly by these to pick them up.
There are 100 of these little buggers in one level, and you must get them all
if you want to fully complete the level. They look like little land mines, and
are usually found in big clumps, or in a string the leads down a path.

Communication Points - These things look like satalite dishes, but they are
an orangish color. Some levels have these, others don't. Some levels have
two of them. They can be hidden pretty well sometimes. When you get them, you
open up new bonus areas.

TNT - Black crates with a skull on them. They can be pushed around, and when
you push them into a building, they will blow the building up. Some of these
will go without blowing up for a long time, and some will explode just seconds
after you touch them. They will flash faster and faster as they near
explosion.

-=++ [ VEHICLES ] ++=-

This section will be completed later. For now, just check the Blast Corps
Instruction Booklet, it has everything you need to know about all the
vehicles.

-=++ [ LEVELS ] ++=-

==Simian Acres==
No Secrets or Communication Points. Just get all the buildings and RDUS.

==Carrick Point==
2 Communication Points:
1) At the start of the level, go straight, then turn left, then go through
the first bridge, then at the right, the communication point awaits.
2) From the first one, just keep going through the bridges, then turn
to the right, then go until you see a grassy hill with some rocks on the
top. You'll have to knock some buildings down. I suggest you use the
thunderfist to do this. Then, you'll see it under all the buildings.

3. Havoc District: 2 Communication Points, 2 tricky part
1) The first one is very tricky. From the start of the level, follow the
track of RDUS, then get the J-Bomb. Then, turn right, and start flying.
There will be a turn in the road. Follow it, then just a little bit after
the road straightens out, turn left. You'll see a ledge way up high, you
have to fly as high as you can. When you get on the ledge, you'll see
the communications point.
2) From the Red Bridge (looks sorta like the Golden Gate Bridge), fly towards
the beach (the opposite direction of the Ballista). You will have to fly
over some water. Then, you'll see an island with the communications point
on it.

Tricky Parts
There are some hard to find RDUS on this level. These are
located on a similar place to communication point #2. This time, the island
is farther out. There is an area on the level where there are 9 RDUS in a
square. Fly off that part, and you'll see it. Another tricky part to get
RDUS is the "secret" red car. You'll have to go near the Blast Corps Semi
truck at the end of the level, then fly up, and you'll see a rock with grass
on the top. Go there, and walk along the edge of the grass. You'll find an
area of grass that is a darker shade of green. Walk on it, and you'll fall
through. Then, after you fall through, you can walk underwater to the red
car. Get the red car, then go through the path and get all the RDUS. You'll
end up on the level near where you started.

==Argent Towers==
2 Commnunication points, a tricky part and a Scientist.
1) Using the J-Bomb (see tricky section below to find out how to get him),
fly over the buildings that you couldn't destroy because there was a
ledge stopping you. Destroy the buildings, and the communications point
will be underneath. The ledge I am talking about is near the beginning
of the level.
2) Right where you start the level, go straight for about a second, then
on the right, there is a communications thing under a building.

Tricky Parts
Getting The J-Bomb. This can be tough if you don't know what you're doing.
In order to get it, you must first get the Ballista. To get the ballista,
from the beginning of the level, go straight, and take your first left turn
onto a different street. Then, from there, you'll see a cement slab. Push it
over a little bit. Then, get out of the Backlash, and walk down the ramp to
where the Ramdozer is. Take the crate, and push it into the blocked doorway.
Use the train that is right there, and go all the way down to the end.
The ballista is right there. Then drive it up, and use it to go over to the
area where there is a door underground. You can't use the ballista to go
down there, so just blast the door open from above. Then get out and walk
down. Then, walk through the door and go a long ways, then you'll come up
where the J-Bomb is.

Scientist
The same way you got the Ballista (explained above). This time, stop a
little less than half way, and get out of the train. Then, go the direction
that you went to get the Ramdozer and Ballista. You'll find a Police car.
Then, from there, you'll have to go through a maze. At the end of the maze,
you'll find a scientist.

==Blackridge Works==
2 Communication Points
1) Right when you start out, turn right, then knock all those buildings down.
You can't miss it.
2) From where you start out, go straight for a while, then turn right, and
there will be a patch of about 50 RDUS or so. It is right near there.

==Tempest City==
1 Communication Point, and a scientist
1) From where you start, head to the right, then go for a while along that
side of the level. Eventually, you'll run into a bunch of buildings.
They may not look like buildings, but they are (kind of). Blast away at
them, and eventually, everything will fall out, making a secret ramp
visible. Go up the ramp, then you'll see the communications point. After
you get it, stay up there... read on to find out why I said that.

Scientist:
I said to say up there because if you did, you will be able to find the
scientist while you're there. Just blast through the stuff that is near the
wall. You'll come through and see the camper where the scientist is.

==Shuttle Gully==
1 Communication Point, 3 Tricky part
1) From Where you start, follow the ditch. Then, you'll come to a bridge.
Under the bridge you'll find a communication dish.
Tricky Part
Near the end of the level, there are a whole bunch of RDUS in the corner.
Hit the turbo boost through them!! Also near the end of the level, go in the
opposite direction than you did when you got the RDU's (opposite direction of
the blast Corps truck), and you'll find a sphere floating in space. Go off the
jump and smash it in the air. And near the beginning of the level, there will
be 4 floating spheres that you need to jump into. That will be off to the right
of the main path of the level.

==Outland Farm==
2 Communication Points, a tricky area
1) Go straight along the dirt path on the first part. Then, after catching
major air off the first jump, go a little further, then turn off to the
left. From there, you'll find a place with a bunch of RDUS, and a
Communication Point in the center.
2) After coming to the end of the dirt path, turn left instead of right, and
follow that path. You'll cross a bridge. Just keep going. Then, you'll
come to the end, and you'll find a place with some RDUS, and the
communication Point will be in the center, just like the first one.

Tricky Part
At the end of the level, there will be some more RDUs in the direction that
the BC semi is pointing.

==Ebony Coast==
1 Communication Point, A lot of little Tricky Parts, and a Scientist
1) Use the train to go to the end of the tracks. Take the Ramdozer, and
go down the road (the opposite direction that the end of the level is).
Then, when you can't go any further, go down the hill. It is located
on the cement platform.

Tricky Parts
To get the J-Bomb, first, take the crate at the beginning of the level near
the train tracks, and push it into the area right next to it with the
ramdozer. Then, take and put it on the train. Get in the train, and take it
all the way to the end of the track. Then, from there, get the crate, put it
on the train, and leave the ramdozer off the train, it won't fit, and you
don't need it anyways. Then, take the train down through the hole you made
earlier, and park the train so that the crate is right next to the big head
statue. It will blast open, and the J-Bomb will be right there. Near the end
of the level, there is an area where you can fly over to the left side of the
level, and there will be a few very valuable buildings (look at the damage
you make when you smash them!). There will also be some RDUS you might have
missed.

Scientist:
Use the J-Bomb, and take it to the opposite bridge that the train is on.
From there, keep on going the opposite direction from where you started.
You'll eventually fly over some grassy plains, and you'll find a little area
with some water, and the scientist will be located down near the water.

==Ironstone Mine==
0 Communication Points (you finally get a break :), A few tricks, a scientist

Tricky Areas
To get the Ramdozer in the level, go to the very far end of the level, sort
of near the end Blast Corps Semi Truck. Then, walk along the edge of the
level. You'll find an area where you can walk up. From here, you can't miss
the Ramdozer. Use the crane to transport it across the railroad tracks.
Then, level the building with the TNT crate. From there, go underground, and
There will be a bunch of RDUS.

Scientist:
The scientist in this level is underground (sort of). Follow the directions
above to get there. You'll find him in the maze, it may take a minute or
two, though.

==Cromlech Court==
0 Communication Points, 1 sort of tricky part
Tricky Area
There are some RDUS that you might not see if you just blast through the
buildings. It is near the start of the level. After destroying the first
little batch of buildings, go to the far right, and you'll find a bunch
of RDUS.

==Echo Marches==
2 Communication Points, a few tricky parts
1) After going over a big hill, you'll find some water. On the other end of
the water, there is a tugboat that you can drive. Next to it is a
communication point.
2) This one is hard to find if you don't know where to look. After going
over the big hill, and nearing the end of the level, you'll notice that
there is a small dirt path going off in a different direction. Follow it,
and you'll see that there is a big tall thingy (can't think of what to
call it). Fly up there, and it will be on the top.

Tricky Areas
After destroying the first couple buildings, fly until you see the railroad
tracks. When you see these, go left, and follow them. You'll go over a hill
and find a train. Get out of the J-Bomb, and get in the train. Take the train
as far as you can go, then when the happy face appears, get out, and use the
car to re-trace your steps back to the J-Bomb. From here, keep on going and
smash the buildings. Later, you'll come to another hill. Fly over it, then go
to the left. You'll see a tugboat. Put the J-Bomb on the tugboat (just ignore
the car). Use the tugboat to get the happy face in the corner of your screen,
then get back in the J-Bomb and finish the level. That's it for tricky stuff.

==Beeton Tracks==
1 Communication Point, a few tricky parts
1) Near the bridge (the small one you have to walk across), there will be a
cement area. Using the Ramdozer, drive around there. There will be some
RDUS. Then, after you get those, keep going further down. Eventually,
you'll run into the Communication dish.

Tricky Parts
Getting the ramdozer over the tracks can be hard if you don't know how to use
the crane. Put the ramdozer on it, then take the crane, and using the A
button, extend it out over the tracks. Then use the R button to lower it
down. Now, just get out of the crane, and walk acrosse the bridge again.
You have to use the TNT crate to destroy the building at the end of the
level.

==Glory Crossing==
0 Communication Points, 1 Scientist, no really tricky areas
Scientist:
To get the scientist in this level,it is really easy. Near the end of the
level, where the end semi truck is, just follow the direction that the truck
is pointing. You'll find an area where you can go underground. Go down there,
and you'll find the scientist.

==Crystal Rift==
2 Communication Points, a few little tricky areas
1) Very easy. Right where you start from, get out of the train and head back
a short distance. You can't miss it.
2) In the area where you use the skyfall to jump through the holes and smash
buildings, there is an area off to the side where you can go up. You'll
find some RDUS there. Get the RDUS, and follow the path onto the bridge.
Keep following the path, then you'll eventually find the Communication
point.
Tricky Areas
You'll need to use the ramdozer to push all the cement slabs into place.
Just take your time. A screw up will cost you more time than if you go
slow.

==Obsidian Mile==
No Communication Points, No tricky areas
Just Smash the buildings! The only thing you may have trouble with is getting
all the RDUS. You'll have to go down both roads.

==Diamond Sands==
No Communication Points, No tricky areas, but a really big Challenge
In this level, after you finish it, you'll have no trouble finding all the
RDUS, but it isn't easy clearing out all the buildings in time.

==Oyster Harbor==
1 Communication Point, A scientist, a pain in the A$$, and a few tricky parts
1) To get the communication point, you must have used the Ballista at the
beginning of the level to destroy the buildings around the communication
point. It is located at the end of the path for the Ballista. After
clearing out all of the buildings, drive back, get out, run to the
Ramdozer, and when you get to the place where the communication point is,
you'll have to get out, and walk up to it.

Scientist:
One of the tricky parts in this level is getting the scientist. You must use
the crate in the level to blow up the little rock area near the third tugboat.
Then take the tugboat through the place where you removed the rock, and go
through it, and you'll find the scientist.

Tricky Areas:
Destroying the boat at the beginning of the level. You need to use the
Ballista to get this thing. You have to fire from quite a distance in order
to hit it. Lining up the boats for the truck to pass through is another hard
area. Just go like this as you come to the first boat: Pass over the first and
second boats, put the third boat into place, then go to the second boat. Park
the Ramdozer near the little bridge, then get out and run across the bridge,
and run to the middle tugboat. Put it into place, then take the Ramdozer and
drive across the second one you just put into place. Then, take the first one,
and before you put it into place, if you have enough time, take it to the left
(press the A button), and get the crate on it, then bring it back into place,
and use the TNT crate to blow up the last building. If you did everything
fast enough, you will make it. One more thing you may have trouble with is
clearing out the huge block of cement near the beginning. You'll have to use
the crane and the TNT box near it. Just push the TNT box onto the crane, and

The reason why I said this level is a pain in the A$$ is because I personally
hate the level. I don't even think that it's that fun, really. I like Blast
Corps a lot, but I don't like this one level at all. It's too long, and it is
very difficult.

==Angel City==
No Communication Points or Tricky Parts, Just get all the buildings out of the
way

==Ember Hamlet==
No Communication Points, one kinda tricky part
The only thing in this level that is tricky is getting all the buildings
cleared. You don't get much ammo for the Ballista. so do a lot of running
into things to kill them, it will help. If you just go crazy with the ammo,
you'll never make it. Save as much as you can for the end.

Beyond These Levels:
Yes, there are more than what is listed here. You can go to the other planets
like the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Neptune!! These are all basically
Bonus levels. Eventually, this guide will have these planets and bonus levels
in it. It will say what the fastest way to finish the stages are, and some
other things like that. Stay tuned!
