At the white intro-screen when the Infogrames logo appears press quickly 
(it's quite tricky) Up, Down, Triangle + Circle and "lock off" appears. 
After that press: 
left+L1 --> time off 
left+L2 --> narrow on 
left+R1 --> extra car 
left+R2 --> restart on 
left, right --> full debug (quite useless)
